ARCHAEOLEG LEOL
Mae'r mynych gyfeiriadau sy'n ymwneud ag archaeoleg leol (rhai cynhanesyddol, Rhufeinig, canol oesol a modern) yn deillio o waith yr awdur fel Curadur Anrhydeddus mewn Archaeoleg i Sefydliad Brenhinol De Cymru; yn aml cysylltwyd hwy ag arddangosfeydd a drefnwyd ganddi yn Amgueddfa Abertawe. Mae'r dehongli yn aml yn cyfeirio at gefndir lletach; ac olrheinir themâu Celtaidd weithiau i dystiolaeth archaeolegol Ewropeaidd, fel yn 'Y Celtiaid yn Stuttgart'; mae hi hefyd yn rhoi sylw, ar adegau, i'r dystiolaeth lenyddol Gymraeg. Yn y ddau faes yma cafodd gymorth gwerthfawr gan yr Athro D. Ellis Evans, a fu'n gyfaill cymwynasgar iddi yn Abertawe ac yn Rhydychen.
LOCAL ARCHAEOLOGY
The many references to local archaeology (prehistoric, Roman, and from the middle and modern ages) arise from the author's work as Honorary Curator in Archaeology to the Royal Institute of South Wales; they were often linked to exhibitions she arranged in Swansea Museum. Her interpretations often refer to a wider background; and her Celtic themes sometimes come from European archaeological evidence, such as in 'The Celts in Stuttgart'; she also, on occasion, refers to Welsh literary sources. She received valuable help in these two fields from Professor D.Ellis Evans, who was a friendly benefactor to her in Swansea and Oxford.
ORTLICHEN GESCHICHTE
Die zahlreiche Bezüge zur örtlichen Geschichte (prähistorisch, römisch und von dem Mittelalter und der Moderne) ergeben sich aus der Arbeit der Schriftstellerin als ehrenamlichter Museumdirektor der Archäologie des Königlichen Institutes von Südwales. Die wurden oftmals in Verbindung mit Ausstellungen erwähnt, die sie für das Swansea Museum organisierte. Ihre Intepretationen beziehen sich oftmals auf einen umfassenden Hintergrund und die Keltische Themen gehen manchmal auf europäischen archäologischen Beweis zurück, z.B. ,Die Kelten in Stuttgart'; sie bezieht sich auch gelegentlich auf walisische literarische Quellen. In diesen zwei Bereiche bekam sie Hilfe von Professor D.Ellis Evans, der ihr in Swansea und Oxford einen freundlichen Wohltäter war.

Ceir mwy na hanner cant o'i cherddi, gan gynnwys rhai a ddyfynnir yma, yn ei chasgliad Gedichte. Mae'r rhan fwyaf yn Almaeneg, ond rhai yn Gymraeg. Cafodd y mwyafrif eu sgrifennu rhwng 1940 ac 1955.
POEMS
There are more than fifty poems, including those quoted here, in her collection Gedichte. Most are in German, but some are in Welsh. Most were written between 1940 and 1955.
